The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup Softened Butter
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 8 oz Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Cream together butter and sugars in an electric mixer until smooth.
  3. Add egg and vanilla and blend in.
  4. Mix together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Blend into creamed mixture.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Cover a baking sheet in parchment paper.
  8. Put tablespooon sized balls of dough spaced two inches apart on baking sheet. These cookies will spread out!
  9. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown around edges.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes on baking sheet and then move to a drying rack.
